What’s your favorite banana puddin’ in Huntsville? Photo via Emily Kent for The Bama Buzz

In the South, banana pudding is a staple. A must. Huntsvillians took to Facebook to chat about their favorite spots for banana pudding, besides their mother’s homemade recipe. I tried three of the spots notorious for their scrumptious nanner puddin’. Read on for the deets on these Huntsville faves.

1. Moe’s Original BBQ

Moe’s Originial BBQ has been a favorite of mine since moving to Alabama. You can’t go wrong with anything from their kitchen, but the banana pudding is another story. The banana pudding is chilled, creamy and oh so good. It is complete with a Nilla Wafer on top. Does it get better than that?

2. Ted’s Bar-B-Q

Ted’s Bar-B-Q is serving up some delicious banana pudding. This took the prize as my personal favorite out of the three I tried. Just to be sure, I polled the taste buds of my family members. Guess what? The vote was unanimous. We will be going back for more. Soon.

3. Boarhog’s Barbeque

A must. Photo via Emily Kent for The Bama Buzz

I liked to think I knew banana pudding. That is, until I tried the banana pudding at Boarhog’s Barbeque. I didn’t even know that banana pudding was served warm. Rookie mistake. My favorite part of Boarhog’s banana pudding? The slices of banana.

What’s your stance on banana slices in your banana pudding? I, for one, am a huge fan.
