America’s favorite pastime is back and about to be in full swing for the upcoming 2021 baseball season. Mark your calendars for Tuesday May 4 because that’s when minor league hits the diamond. The Birmingham Barons, Rocket City Trash Pandas and Montgomery Biscuits have released their schedules, keep reading to check out the deets.

The Birmingham Barons open at home May 4

I don’t know about you, but I sure do miss warm summer nights spent watching a ball game. Starting Tuesday, May 4, Regions Field is bringing baseball back to Birmingham with their 2021 baseball season opener.

The Barons are scheduled to bring in the season at home with a six-game series against the Biloxi Shuckers and then follow up with a six-game series in Pensacola against the Blue Wahoos (what a name!) from May 11-16.

Fans can look forward to weekly promotions like:

  • Dollar Hot Dog Night on Tuesdays
  • Wet Nose Wednesdays
  • Thirsty Thursdays
  • Post-Game Firework Shows on Fridays

Heard enough and ready to grab those tickets to this baseball season? Individual game tickets for the 2021 baseball season will be available within the coming months as Regions Field prepares for a safe return back to summertime baseball.

Rocket City Trash Pandas gear up for their very first season

Never heard of a trash panda? It’s just an informal way of saying raccoon, but that’s beside the point. The Rocket City Trash Pandas will be celebrating their first baseball season at Toyota Field in Madison, Alabama.

This is a big deal for baseball fans in North Alabama. Ever since the Huntsville Stars moved the game down to Mississippi to become the Biloxi Shuckers, the Rocket City hasn’t had a team—until now at least.

Opening night is set for Tuesday, May 11 against the Tennessee Smokies and to celebrate, fans can expect a fireworks show, Toyota Field stadium replica giveaway and more. Other promotions throughout the season, include:

  • Postgame fireworks every Friday and Saturday
  • Dog-friendly nights every Wednesday
  • Pregame happy hour every Thursday

As for safety protocols, Toyota Field is still discussing precautions such as fan capacity, seating structure and mask ordinance. Official protocols will be announced closer to the start of the season.

The Montgomery Biscuits hit the diamond May 1

We’re heading down to the state capital to gear up for the Montgomery Biscuits’ first home game of the 2021 baseball season on May 1. They’ll be taking on the Chattanooga Lookouts after playing their first six games at Tennessee starting May 4.

The Biscuits have yet to release any details on upcoming promotions or safety protocols so keep an eye on their website for more details.
