With the holidays quickly approaching, Alabama’s cities and towns are gearing up for a season full of shopping, lights, and festive cheer. From handmade gifts to local eats, we’ve rounded up a few of the state’s best holiday markets to help you find something special this season.

Holiday Market at MidCity – Huntsville

Shop more than 160 local makers, bakers and artisans at Huntsville’s 7th Annual Holiday Market at MidCity. With live music, festive drinks, Santa sightings and plenty of food options, it’s one of North Alabama’s largest holiday shopping events.

Cullman Christkindlmarkt – Cullman

Inspired by traditional German markets, Cullman’s Christkindlmarkt fills Depot Park with festive food, handmade gifts, and family-friendly attractions. Visitors can enjoy ice skating, a Ferris wheel, a vintage carousel + live entertainment throughout the season.

Tinsel Trail Holiday Market – Tuscaloosa

Presented by SignPro of Tuscaloosa and Fincher and Ozment Jewelers, the Tinsel Trail Holiday Market brings festive shopping to Government Plaza. Browse local vendors, grab a bite from nearby eateries and enjoy the cheerful downtown atmosphere.

Mistletoe Market – Gadsden

Part of Downtown Gadsden’s Christmas Open House, the 8th Annual Mistletoe Market brings local vendors, festive treats + unique gifts from across Alabama.

Christmas Village Festival – Birmingham

One of Alabama’s largest holiday shopping traditions, the Christmas Village Festival fills the BJCC with 750+ vendors offering crafts, décor, boutique clothing + gourmet food.

Rocky Top Holiday Market – Salem

Located at The Farm at Rocky Top, this family-friendly event includes handmade crafts, gourmet foods + unique finds from 100+ vendors — plus an animal barn and inflatables.

Christmas Jubilee – Mobile

Shop dozens of merchants from across the country at the Junior League of Mobile’s 41st annual Christmas Jubilee. Enjoy food, drinks and a festive atmosphere while supporting community programs.

Christmas in Candyland – Andalusia

Downtown Andalusia becomes a winter wonderland with ice skating, play cottages, snow tubing + festive shopping throughout December.

Market Noel – Hoover

Presented by the Junior League of Birmingham, Market Noel brings together 80+ merchants offering holiday décor, gifts + boutique items benefiting local initiatives.


Holiday Hive – Fairhope

Apiary Fairhope’s annual holiday market buzzing with local makers, unique gifts, and cheerful decor. Expect specialty cocktails, festive music, and one-of-a-kind finds from artisans and small businesses across Baldwin County.

Christmas Market – Sylacauga

Sylacauga Parks and Recreation is welcoming the holiday season with its annual Christmas Market at the J. Craig Smith Community Center. Guests can browse more than 50 vendors featuring handcrafted gifts, home décor, and festive treats from local artisans. Food trucks will also be on-site throughout the day.

Christmas on The Square – Pike Road

Kick off the holiday season at The Waters in Pike Road with the annual Christmas on The Square event. Shoppers can browse local vendors, enjoy holiday treats, and find unique gifts while supporting Pike Road Schools.

Christkindlmarket Huntsville – Huntsville

Arts Huntsville and The Orion Amphitheater are bringing back this European-inspired market with 60+ artists, festive food + drinks, and live music.
