Christmas decorations are already out and about across the state. And Alabama has plenty to offer for those who love a good light show.

We’ve given you a list of our favorite holiday markets and you may have seen our ultimate guide to some of the biggest Christmas celebrations, tree lightings + parades in Alabama. But now, let’s talk about light shows.

These aren’t just one specific night or event, this light shows will be available throughout the season. Find one local to you or take a quick trip to find a new show this year!

Christmas in Candy Land in Andalusia

Winter Wonderland Christmas Light Display in Cullman

  • When: Open now | Full schedule
  • Where: Sportsman Lake Park, 1544 Sportsman Lake Rd, NW, Cullman, AL 35055
  • What: See over a million lights and new displays and experience this Winter Wonderland. Returning this year, we’ll have our Christmas Train, Horse and Carriage Rides, Snow Machine, Photo Booth, Hot Chocolate, and more.

Brightspeed Holiday Light Spectacular in Dothan

  • When: Opens Nov. 28 | 5-8:30PM
  • Where: 5622 US Hwy 231 South Dothan, AL 36301
  • What: Visit the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds and celebrate with thousands of lights and other decorations. Treat the family to the best food from local food trucks. Sip hot chocolate, visit Santa or sing Christmas carols.

Christmas in the Park in Fayette

  • What: Display of Christmas lights at Fayette’s Guthrie Smith Park. Drive through the park and enjoy the beautiful Christmas light displays.

Christmas at the Falls in Gadsden

  • What: The event will feature millions of lights as you wind your way through the park. The park is also filled with holiday displays and decorations, bringing out the Christmas cheer in everyone.

Rocket City Christmas Light Show & Winter Wonderland in Madison

  • When: Open now | 5-9PM nightly
  • Where: Toyota Field, 500 Trash Panda Wy, Madison, AL 35758
  • What: Over a mile and a half of nearly one million lights will be on display for all to enjoy. After driving through the Light Show, guests can walk inside the ballpark for the Winter Wonderland to experience holiday activities, hot beverages, fire pits, character appearances, and visits from Santa Claus.

  • What: See the Montgomery Zoo transformed into a Winter Wonderland displaying thousands of sparkling and twinkling lights and festive decorations at Christmas Lights Festival.
