Spring festival season has officially arrived in Alabama. From coastal seafood celebrations to strawberry festivals, art shows and major music weekends, there is something happening in nearly every corner of the state.
Here are 17 spring festivals taking place across Alabama this Spring.
Festival of Tulips – Montevallo | Feb 25 – Mar 18
- What: The 10th Annual Festival of Tulips at American Village features more than 120,000 blooming tulips set against replicas of historic American landmarks. Guests can stroll the fields, take photos and pick tulips to take home. Food trucks will be onsite each Saturday during the festival.

34th Annual Seafood Festival & Car Show – Orange Beach | Feb 28
- What: One of the Gulf Coast’s most popular annual events, the Orange Beach Seafood Festival features a full day of fresh seafood, more than 100 arts and crafts booths, live music and a large car show benefiting Orange Beach schools. A Kids’ Zone, antique and classic vehicles lining Main Street and a crawfish and shrimp boil round out the festivities. More than 20,000 people attend each year.

Ballyhoo Festival – Gulf Shores | March 7–8
- What: The Ballyhoo Festival is a fine art and culture festival held at Gulf State Park. The event blends juried artists, live music and a celebration of American heritage with a distinct Coastal Alabama spirit. Guests can browse artwork, shop from vendors and enjoy a full weekend of entertainment including a Fiddle and Banjo Competition.

Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee – Selma | March 5–8
- What: The Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee is the largest annual Civil Rights commemoration in the world, honoring the events of the Voting Rights Movement that led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The weekend includes historic reenactments, educational programming, live music, community events and the iconic march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge.

52nd Annual Festival of Art – Orange Beach | March 14–15
- What: For more than 50 years, the Orange Beach Festival of Art has marked the island’s first rite of spring. This nationally ranked fine arts festival features visual, literary, performing, musical and culinary arts with entertainment on two stages. The show has been named Best Art Show in Alabama multiple times and is ranked among the top fine art and design shows in the country.

74th Annual Arts & Crafts Festival – Fairhope | March 20–22
- What: Celebrating its 74th year, the Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival transforms downtown Fairhope into one of the largest outdoor art shows in the Southeast. More than 300,000 visitors attend this three day event featuring fine art, handmade crafts, live entertainment and local food vendors along the city’s flower lined streets. Proceeds support local students and community organizations through the Festival Foundation.

Bloomin’ Festival Arts & Crafts Fair – Cullman | April 18–19
- What: The 42nd Annual Bloomin’ Festival is a two day juried arts and crafts fair held on the scenic grounds of St. Bernard Abbey. More than 150 artisan booths showcase handcrafted work against the backdrop of Alabama’s only abbey and the nearby Ave Maria Grotto. The festival serves as the largest annual fundraiser for St. Bernard Prep and includes prize giveaways and special admission rates to visit the grotto.

- What: The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival brings colorful hot air balloons, live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors and family friendly fun to OWA Parks & Resort. Guests can enjoy balloon glows, meet pilots and explore dozens of food and retail vendors. Balloon flights and glows take place at dawn and dusk and are weather dependent.
