Two Alabama high schools are among the 40 finalists for T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition which awards money to schools across the country for upgrades to their football stadiums.

This year, the grand prize will be $1 million to the winning school with second place receiving $500,000 and third place getting $300,000.

Right now, both Dora High School and Loachapoka High School are among the 10 finalists in the South Division. One school from each division will be named in the final four before a grand prize winner is selected.

More than 200,000 schools across the country entered the competition but now just 40 schools remain. All of the current finalists will receive $25,000 plus a “T-Mobile home game celebration.”

But the prizes don’t stop there.

You can vote for your favorite school once per day until Sunday, October 25. As of Oct. 12, Dora is in 7th place in the South Division while Locahapoka is in 8th place so they need your help to climb the leaderboard!

Division Finalists can earn bonus votes by participating in the Spirit Week social challenges. As a fan, you can cheer them on by tagging your favorite school and @TMobile and using hashtags #FN5GL and #Entry.
