20 lucky St. Patrick’s Day events happening across the state

Birmingham

1. ShamROCK

• What: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Cahaba Brewing Company’s annual ShamROCK event. The beer may not be green, but there will still be plenty to drink, local bands like Taylor Hollingsworth and food trucks like the Tamale Queen.

2. Tour de Brewers XIX – St. Patrick’s Day Edition

• What: Support The Dannon Project in a fun and unique way during this informal charity run/ride/brewery crawl. This year’s event includes stops at local breweries like Avondale Brewing Co, Back Forty Birmingham, Uproot Brewing and more. Each participant receives a race bib with five vouchers—each good for a craft beer at brewery stops along the race route.

3. Shamrock Shindig

4. Irish Dinner

• What: Join the Birmingham Irish Culture Society for the 43rd Annual St. Patrick’s Dinner Celebration benefiting Kid One Transport. For an additional $25, you can also take part in a Whiskey Tasting event. More info.

5. Five Farms Irish Cream Tasting

• What: Toast to the Irish at LeNell’s Beverage Boutique on March 16. Try Bushmill’s 10 Year, an Irish single malt aged in both sherry and bourbon barrels and sample Five Farms, an Irish cream liqueur made with REAL cream and REAL Irish whiskey.

8. Black Market Haggis St. Patrick’s Day Show
