2025 Senior Bowl Preview: Top Alabama Players to Watch

The Senior Bowl is one of college football’s best postseason traditions, serving as both a college football all-star game of sorts as well as a key opportunity for players to make a big impression on NFL scouts in the lead-up to the NFL Draft. This year, the state of Alabama’s college teams are well-represented on the Senior Bowl roster and fans who tune in to the game this Saturday, February 1, will likely hear some recognizable names.
Here are the Alabama, Auburn and South Alabama players participating in this year’s Senior Bowl.

Alabama
Jalen Milroe – The Crimson Tide’s starting quarterback for the past two seasons, Milroe racked up some incredible stats and some amazing wins during his time as Alabama’s offensive signal caller. With his athletic ability, Milroe is expected to attract major attention in the NFL Draft from teams looking for a quarterback they can develop for the future.
Malachi Moore – A highly-experienced defensive back whose career with Alabama dates all the way back to the Crimson Tide’s 2020 national championship season. Moore is one of the most heralded defensive backs in all of college football and has a wealth of both skill and experience.
Tim Smith – At 6’foot-4, 314 pounds, Smith is a dominant defensive lineman who has been a huge contributor to the Alabama defense over the past five seasons. Smith is one of only two Alabama players in history, along with Malachi Moore, to win play in and win five Iron Bowls.
CJ Dippre – After transferring to Alabama from Maryland as a sophomore, Dippre went on to start at tight end for Alabama for the last two seasons, where he’s been a strong contributor as both a receiver and a blocker.
James Burnip – Hailing from Mount Macedon, Australia, Burnip has been one of the best punters in college football for the past four seasons, providing Alabama with a true field-flipping weapon on special teams. Burnip has the strength and accuracy to become an NFL punter.
Auburn
Jarquez Hunter – After establishing himself as a special talent in each of his first two seasons at Auburn, Hunter took over as the starting running back in 2023 and averaged 1,000 yards per season over his final two years with the Tigers. Hunter is a tough runner with big-play ability who could have a long NFL career ahead of him.
Eugene Asante – After transferring to Auburn from North Carolina, Asante established himself as a leader on defense for the Tigers, leading the team in tackles in 2023 and earning the honor of team captain in 2024.
Jalen McLeod – A transfer from Appalachian State, McLeod was one of the team’s leading tacklers in each of his two seasons in Auburn and racked up 24 tackles for loss in his time with the Tigers. McLeod, a Washington D.C. native, established himself as an effective pass rusher who regularly terrorized opposing offenses.
South Alabama
Jamaal Pritchett – One of the most productive receivers in all of college football last season, Pritchett helped the South Alabama offense explode in 2024, hauling in 91 receptions for 1,127 yards and 9 touchdowns.
Jacksonville State
Clay Webb – After signing with Georgia out of high school, this Oxford High School grad transferred back closer to home to play at Jacksonville State. Webb’s stellar work on the offensive line helped lead the Gamecocks to its first ever Conference USA Championship in 2024.
Alabama A&M
Carson Vinson – At 6-foot-7, 300 pounds, Vinson cuts an imposing figure on the offensive line and used his huge frame to put together an impressive college career that includes 48 career games, 3,428 career snaps and 1st Team All-SWAC honors as a senior.
