Two Atlanta developers, Novare Group and Batson-Cook Development Company (BCDC), are teaming up to build a luxury mixed-use apartment community in Madison, Alabama. Here’s what we know about this exciting project.
Madison Lands a New Luxury Apartment Complex
Located within the Huntsville metropolitan area, Madison is a thriving city in close proximity to some of Huntsville’s biggest employers, such as the Redstone Arsenal, Cummings Research Park and Intergraph. That’s one of the reasons two Atlanta developers settled on the North Alabama town for their next big project.
Novare Group and Batson-Cook Development Company (BCDC) recently closed on a 13.45-acre plot at 375 Lime Quarry Road, and have big plans for the area. The site is adjacent to Town Madison, an upcoming mixed-use development that includes walkable areas along the Singing River Trail, a 70-mile-long train system in North Alabama.
We’ve Got Your Details Right Here
Once complete, the currently-unnamed apartment community will include 3 four-story residential buildings with a total of 290 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Plus, the development will include two ground-floor retail spaces totaling 5,000 square feet.
At the apartment community, residents will have access to a number of amenities, including:
- A resort-style swimming pool.
- A private co-working lounge.
- State-of-the-art fitness center with a yoga & spin room.
- A clubroom complete with a kitchen & fireplace.
- 483 surface parking spaces & 25 detached garages.
- Eight live/work units.
- And more!
That’s not all. Residents will have direct access to the Singing River Trail, an upcoming long-distance trail in North Alabama that will connect some of the biggest communities in the region.
Meet the Players
Collaborating on the project are two prominent Atlanta developers: Novare Group and Batson-Cook Development Company (BCDC). The duo have each worked on hundreds of residential properties throughout the West and Southeastern United States. In addition, the two developers previously collaborated on Foundry Yards and Tributary Rise, two luxury apartment communities in Birmingham.
“We are excited to be partnering with BCDC and Litt Glover once again on this apartment community, which is well-located and well-positioned to take advantage of Madison’s remarkable momentum. ”
Jim Borders, President and CEO of Novare Group
Novare Group and BCDC worked with Synovus Bank and Marble Capital of Houston, Texas to secure financing for the project.
The team plans to start construction in April 2021, with the first units available for lease in Summer 2022.
