3 new businesses coming soon to Downtown Auburn

Downtown Auburn radiates the small-town charm our state is so proud of. We’ve rounded up three new openings that are all the buzz in the city.

1. Whataburger

Your favorite Texas staple is headed to Toomer’s Corner. This will be Alabama’s 20th Whataburger location, and Auburn’s second location in the past year. Students and residents alike have been patiently waiting to see what would fill this centralized location, so this corner is sure to be a hot-spot in the coming year.

2. Tekila Mexican Bar & Grill

In queso you didn’t know… Auburn’s getting another mexican restaurant. The bright storefront has captured the community’s attention, and honestly, mine too. Tekila Mexican Bar & Grill plans to open mid-November. Check out their future menu here.

3. Publix

Construction is underway on the brand-new Publix coming to Downtown Auburn. The 29,000 square foot store is projected to create around 125 new jobs. The supermarket plans to open by Fall 2022. Having access to a grocery store right on top of campus is a game-changer for Auburn students.
