Mobile’s House of Vintage
Mobile’s House of Vintage owners Cindy Ward and Greigh Northcutt made the first move when they relocated their long‑running Midtown shop to Dauphin Street on February 14, 2025.

It has been a staple for vintage lovers in Mobile and was voted the 2025 Nappie Award winner for Best Vintage Shop. Soul Kiss Vintage owner Rhonda McClain credits Mobile’s House of Vintage for sparking the movement of shops that followed, saying that their move downtown set the groundwork for what the block would become.
They describe their selection as ranging “from deco to disco”, including clothing, vinyl, decor and collectibles.

Soul Kiss Vintage
After decades of wishing Mobile had the kind of vintage stores she loved visiting in cities like Atlanta, Rhonda McClain opened Soul Kiss Vintage on April 15, 2025. She put together a mix of about twenty vendors, each chosen to fit her vision of a shop with a 70s-inspired, hippy and edgy aesthetic.

It was Cindy Ward who gave Rhonda the final push she needed to open Soul Kiss. While visiting Mobile’s House of Vintage in Midtown right before its relocation, Rhonda asked if she could join as a vendor in the new space. Cindy and Greigh were bringing all of their existing vendors with them, so there wasn’t room for her. Instead, Cindy encouraged her to look at the vacant space next door and open a shop of her own.
“I’m forever grateful to her. It was always a life-long dream of mine to do it, but she was definitely the one to put that in motion for me.”

Vintage Verb

Michael Schubert moved Vintage Verb from Midtown to Dauphin Street on September 1, 2025. Relocating allowed the shop to expand into a two‑story historic building with space for more than 25 vendors and join Soul Kiss and Mobile’s House of Vintage downtown.
The driving force for Schubert is supporting local vendors by giving them a dependable place to sell their items. He’s motivated by the chance to uplift the community and says that each vendor brings their own unique style and are constantly adding new pieces.
Vintage Verb offers an extensive mix of clothing, mid‑century modern furniture, retro art, jewelry, and collectibles.
