3 unique food trucks you must try in Tuscaloosa
Reading time: 2 minutes
There are a number of great food trucks around the Tuscaloosa area, from fruity smoothies to specialty grilled cheese. Read on to learn more about three T-town food trucks you should try. Trust us, your taste buds will be thanking you.
Blenz Bowls
Starting off with Blenz Bowls, this healthy truck offers a variety of smoothies, açaí bowls and smoothie bowls. With the positive motto “eat good, feel good and do good,” you’ll leave happier than ever with a fruity treat in tow. You can usually find this truck on the University of Alabama’s campus- find their exact location on instagram. My go to order is the açaí bowl with all the yummy toppings.
Cheese Louise
These gourmet grilled cheeses will have your heart melt out of pure delight. You can never say no to a good grilled cheese. Imagine if pizza and a grilled cheese were combined. This will give you the Godfather, made with marinara, pepperoni, two different types of cheeses and a tangy chipotle sauce—you’re guaranteed to fall in love. Plus, if you or your organization is looking to cater for an event or party, look no further! The Cheese Louise food truck is available for catering.
Urban Cookhouse
Did you know the popular restaurant Urban Cookhouse has a food truck so you can get their delicious food on the go? They support local farmers and use the freshest ingredients available. This tasty restaurant offers sandwiches, salads & entrees with a focus on local produce. I recommend the urban cowboy sandwich. With lime-marinated steak, caramelized onions & peppers, pepper-jack cheese and aioli on a French roll, it doesn’t get much better than that.
