5 Alabama schools make Forbes list of America’s Top Colleges

Forbes has released its annual college rankings, highlighting the nation’s top schools through 14 different metrics.

Five schools in Alabama made the top 500 with Auburn University leading the way for our state, coming in at No. 163. The other four Alabama colleges include:

• No. 254 Samford University
• No. 270 University of Alabama
• No. 313 UAB
• No. 352 UAH

How Forbes ranks America’s Top Colleges

The five Alabama colleges were highlighted through Forbes’ selection of metrics including:

• Return on investment for Pell grants
• Average student debt levgels
• On-time graduation rates
• High salaries after graduation
