Looking for a place to let your furry friend get rid of some of their pent-up energy? Keep reading for a list of dog-friendly spots in Mobile that you and your pup can enjoy together!

1. HopHounds Brew Pub and Dog Park

HopHounds Brew Pub and Dog Park is the perfect spot to grab a drink and let your dog run wild. They offer a playground equipped with all of your pup’s favorite obstacles and tennis balls, a dog washing station and doggie daycare every Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-6PM.

Does your four-legged friend have a birthday coming up? They also offer private party options for your dog to celebrate another lap around the sun with their doggy friends.

2. Julien Marx Dog Park at Medal of Honor Park

Take your pup to the Julien Marx Dog Park for just the right amount of shade and space to make you and your dog happy. This 4-acre dog park offers separate areas for large and small dogs, so parents don’t have to worry. Each section is equipped with a water station, benches to relax on and a clean up station for your dog’s messes.

For a change of scenery, Medal of Honor Park features a 2-mile wooded trail that you and your leashed dog can explore and escape some of the harsh sun.

3. Dog Park at Public Safety Memorial Park

The Public Safety Memorial Park is a great spot for you and your pup to get out of the house and get some vitamin D. The park features walking trails, a skate park, a large pavilion and of course, a dog park (with separate small and large dog areas). Equipped with benches, waste bins and dog drinking fountains, this park is the perfect place to spend some quality time with your pup.

4. Lake Drive Tricentennial Park

If you want to enjoy incredible scenery while walking your dog, Lake Drive Tricentennial Park is the place to go. This short but beautiful paved trail circles around a popular fishing pond with a large fountain in the middle of it. After your walk, head over to the dock that overlooks the pond to potentially see some alligators. No feeding allowed!

5. Washington Square

Washington Square in the heart of the Oakleigh Garden District is another short and shady walk option for you and your pup to enjoy together. This historic location is filled with live oak trees—including one that stretches across the sidewalk—that make for lovely photos. It is important that you pick up after your dog and leave this spot as beautiful as it was when you arrived.
