1. Stapleton Bluegrass Festival
This outdoor celebration of bluegrass music has been a favorite of Stapleton citizens for almost two decades.

While you’re enjoying these wonderful Bluegrass artists, you’ll also be helping out the local community. This event provides necessary resources to improve the academic and overall educational experience for the students of Stapleton School.
Take the whole family to this festival—there will be a play area for kids, food and a lot of activities and exhibits to keep everyone entertained.

2. Music and Storytelling Event
Look forward to an afternoon of Bluegrass music and storytelling in Spanish Fort. The popular Pensacola band, String Farm, will play a wide variety of music from Bluegrass Hits to Old Time Gospel.
Fairhope native songwriter Mike Turner will share stories and some original music from his Songs of the Gulf program. These songs feature educational lyrics about historical and cultural aspects of the Mobile Bay and Gulf Coast regions.

3. South Huntsville BBQ & Bluegrass Festival
Head to South Huntsville for an exciting day of Bluegrass music and good eats at Southside Park. The food trucks Badd Newz BBQ and Chillz on Wheelz will be at the event with all the tasty treats.
There will be plenty of space at this outdoor event for social distancing, so you can safely listen to some tunes.

4. Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention
Come out to the 2021 Fiddlers’ convention where up to $19,000 in prize money will be awarded to competing performers. There are 19 different categories of competition, including several fiddle and guitar categories.
The event will open with headliners Jimmy Fortune and Dailey & Vincent. You can also hear Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver wrap up the entertainment portion of the convention.
Food vendors and 150 booths of old-fashioned arts and crafts will be at the event as well, making this a truly immersive weekend.

5. The Dead South-Served Cold Tour
The Dead South brings Bluegrass to Birmingham Monday, September 20. This folk-bluegrass group built their band on the combination of cello, mandolin, banjo and guitar to create their own unique sound.
