Although it may not feel like it outside, the fall season is right around the corner! If the pumpkin spice lattes aren’t cutting it, we’ve got you covered. These 5 events in Mobile are sure to get you in the fall spirit.

1. September LoDa ArtWalk

What’s better than a free event that you get to experience every month? The LoDa ArtWalk is put together by the Mobile Arts Council that showcases Mobile’s visual, culinary and performing arts community. On the day of the ArtWalk, Dauphin Street is shut down to give pedestrians a chance to observe local art galleries, unique shops, outdoor vendors and more. The theme for the September ArtWalk is Disney, so be sure to wear your best costume to come out and support local!

2. Woofstock 2023

Woofstock is a great option for some much-needed family fun this fall, and you can even bring your family dog! This fundraising event features a dog costume contest, a dog pie eating contest, kids’ activities, wiener dog races, food trucks and beer from the Oyster City taproom. Woofstock is the largest fundraiser for Mobile Animal Rescue Foundation, and the proceeds from the event go toward helping animals in need in the Mobile community.

Gather your people and pups for a night of free family fun in October. MOB-tober Fest features a DJ, inflatables, childrens’ characters, trick-or-treating, an all-ages costume contest (including pets) and games. This all-day event makes for an exciting outing for the Mobile community.

Registration, which closes on October 20, is required in order to participate in the costume contest.

5. Pups & Pumpkins

Mobile Museum of Art’s Pups & Pumpkins event is a great way to get out of the house and do something out of the ordinary. The event features a glassblowing class, art activities and even pet adoptions. Guests will be able to blow their very own glass pumpkin with the help of Muffinjaw Designs, a glass studio in Mobile. As the pumpkins are cooling off, pets from the City of Mobile Animal Shelter will be available for guests to play with and potentially adopt.

The museum’s special haunted exhibit will be open for children to explore and complete a fun-filled scavenger hunt for an unknown prize.

Visit the Mobile Museum of Art’s website to register for your glass pumpkin in mid-September!
