Earth Day is on Wednesday, April 22 — the perfect time to give back to nature + appreciate our state’s beautiful wildlife. We’ve made a list of 5 ways for you to celebrate Mother Nature all around Alabama, from clean-ups to electric car showcases.

Birmingham: Earth Month Litter Cleanup with Alabama Environmental Council

On April 18, the Alabama Environmental Council is cleaning up the Five Points neighborhood in Bham and you can join in on the earth-saving action.

  • Pro-tip: Meet early for hot coffee, a brief safety talk + receive provided supplies. Bring your own water and wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes.

Huntsville: Earth Day cleanup at Bud Cramer Park

The Green Team is hosting a park cleanup, welcoming all ages in efforts to help keep Huntsville beautiful. This is a great opportunity for the whole family to lend a helping hand!

Fairhope: Earth Day Celebration

Fairhope will be celebrating the beauty of the ecologically rich Mobile Bay through a festival hosted on Sat., April 18. The day will be one filled with “fun, sun, people, information, and great music!”

Montgomery: Block By Block Earth Day Recycling Event

Block by Block is hosting a recycling event on April 22 in Montgomery! They’ll be accepting telecom equipment, gently used office furniture, office electronics (damaged or whole computers, laptops or phones, tablets, networking equipment, servers + circuit boards).
