Much-needed revival
The Shoppes at Bel Air was once the largest shopping mall in the state. Now, it’s largely vacant—and facing obstacles as more traditional anchor stores leave the mall.
New endeavors like Surge Entertainment, a multi-use recreation space with laser tag, and Wonderland are moving into those empty anchor store spots—trying to reinvigorate large storefronts with new concepts.
