9 Alabama school districts receive A+ rating from Niche

Niche has released its school district rankings for 2025, awarding an A+ grade to 309 different school districts across the country.
Among that list were nine systems in Alabama. Those nine schools to receive an A+ grade (along with their national ranking) include:
- Hoover (#29)
- Homewood (#31)
- Saraland (#32)
- Auburn (#71)
- Madison (#74)
- Alabaster (#121)
- Vestavia HIlls (#130)
- Trussville (#162)
- Mountain Brook (#239)

Top school districts in Alabama
Niche gave at least an A rating to 22 school systems across Alabama. The ranking system used several different factors in determining a grade for every district including:
- Academics
- Teachers
- Clubs/Activities
- Sports
- Facilities
- Diversity
- College Prep
- Administration
- Food

- Most diverse: Decatur City Schools
- Best places to teach: Homewood City Schools
- Best for athletes: Hoover City Schools
