9 gorgeous Alabama glamping getaways you’ll love
Reading time: 4 minutes

Most of us have experienced the beauty of the great outdoors—sleeping under the stars, roasting hot dogs + marshmallows over a campfire and sharing stories that feel as old as time.
Families gather to share a more affordable getaway, let their kids blow off some steam and energy during rambunctious summer months and enjoy the routines of a years-long tradition.
It wasn’t until recently that my family’s longstanding vacations turned into locations with air conditioning, real beds and clean bathrooms that don’t make you want to shower immediately. “Glamping,” or “glamorous camping,” combines the adventure of the outdoors with the comforts of home. Alabama’s biodiversity and beauty make it one of the more ideal places to glamp in the country.
