Alabama, Auburn in Session I
While Session II has the favorites to win the conference title, there will still be plenty of eyes on the early session as Alabama and Auburn are both competing.
Seeding for the SEC Gymnastics Championships is based on final regular-season Team National Qualifying Scores (NQS). Only the top eight teams make the championships with four in each session but the team + all-around champions can come from either session.
The Tigers finished 7th in the SEC with a regular season NQS of 197.170. Alabama was just behind its rivals, sitting at 197.160. While those scores were just barely good enough to finish in the top eight of the conference, both teams sit in the top 13 of the entire country.
Here’s the rotation for both in-state teams:
- No. 12 Auburn Tigers
- Rotation 1: Beam
- Rotation 2: Floor
- Rotation 3: Vault
- Rotation 4: Bars
- No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide
- Rotation 1: Floor
- Rotation 2: Vault
- Rotation 3: Bars
- Rotation 4: Beam
No. 8 Kentucky and No. 10 Georgia will also feature in the first session which will air on SEC Network at 2:30PM.

Session II of the weekend will likely serve as a national championship preview with the top three teams in the country all competing in Birmingham. The four teams in the late session include:
- No. 1 Oklahoma
- No. 2 LSU
- No. 3 Florida
- No. 7 Missouri
After a conference team champion + all-around champion are crowned, the teams will turn their attention to the national title race. The Selection Show is slated for Monday, March 24 with regionals happening between April 2-6.
