Reading time: 2 minutes

A Homewood-based cookie bakery is getting its first Alabama location south of Auburn.
Cookie Fix is making its way to a central location in Downtown Fairhope, bringing delicious sweet treats to locals and tourists alike.
New Fairhope location
The chain announced Friday, Dec. 12 that a Cookie Fix franchise would open in Fairhope under owner Anna Catherine Smith.
Smith spent several years in Birmingham, where she got to know Cookie Fix and “became an avid fan,” the bakery said on Facebook. Now that she’s moved back to her hometown of Fairhope, she felt Cookie Fix would be a perfect addition to the local food scene.
The new location will be at 12 North Section St. — right next to the iconic Fairhope clock.
Cookie Fix currently has seven locations in the state, all located between Huntsville and Auburn, making this the first South Alabama location.
In addition to the seven storefront locations, there are currently 10 places to buy frozen dough in Alabama, but the nearest to Fairhope is in Montgomery.
Founded in Homewood in 2016
The cult-favorite cookie restaurant is known for selling both fresh-baked cookies and frozen to-go cookies.
As the story goes, Cookie Fix-founder and Birmingham-native Amy Jason baked cookies for community events like PTA meetings and Bible studies. As her cookie recipes grew more popular, she began making frozen dough balls for people to take home and bake themselves.
Since its launch in Homewood in 2016, Cookie Fix has become massively popular. The store sells dozens of classic flavors, variations and over 100 flavors that appear on a rotating menu.
