Alabama city named to World Atlas’ most underrated towns in the South

Alabama is no stranger to showing up on World Atlas lists, especially towns on the coast.
Most recently, Dauphin Island has been named as one of the South’s most underrated towns. The town, which sits on the island of the same name settled by Spanish and French colonists in the 16th century, is home to nearly 1800 residents but also hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
