Alabama native Riley Green is heading to Montana.

The Jacksonville-born country singer is making his scripted acting debut in CBS’s new “Yellowstone” spinoff series, “Marshals,” premiering Sunday, March 1 at 8PM.

Keep reading to learn about Green’s role + what to expect from the show.

His Alabama Roots

Green, 37, grew up in Jacksonville, Alabama, where his love for country music started at an early age. A former Jacksonville State University football player, he later leaned fully into music, building a following with songs rooted in Southern storytelling and small-town life.

He broke through nationally with hits like “There Was This Girl” and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” earning CMA and ACM recognition along the way.

While he has appeared on reality television before, including a stint on CMT’s “Redneck Island,” “Marshals” marks his first scripted TV role.

From Alabama stages to CBS primetime

According to Variety, Green will guest star in multiple episodes during the first season. He will play Garrett, a former Navy SEAL who arrives at the ranch hoping to reconnect with Kayce Dutton, played by Luke Grimes, and confront the demons of his past.

“This is my first go around in the acting space and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to this world. Being on set with my buddy Luke Grimes made the experience even more memorable.”

What is ‘Marshals’ about?

“’Marshals’ follows Kayce Dutton after leaving the Yellowstone Ranch. He joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals in Montana, balancing family, duty and the psychological toll of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s fight against violence.”

The series expands the “Yellowstone” universe and premieres March 1 on CBS.
