Alabama earns No. 5 national seed, Auburn heads to Baton Rouge for NCAA gymnastics regionals

The 2026 NCAA Gymnastics Regionals schedule is official as Alabama and Auburn both found out their next steps in the road to Fort Worth.
The Crimson Tide earned the No. 5 national seed and will be heading to Oregon to compete in the Corvallis Regional. Meanwhile, No. 17 Auburn will head to Baton Rouge for the regional hosted by No. 2 overall seed and SEC rival LSU.

- Baton Rouge Regional: Thursday, April 2 | 7PM | ESPN+
- Final: Saturday, April 4 | 5PM | ESPN+
- Corvallis Regional: Friday, April 3 | 3PM | ESPN+
- Final: Sunday, April 5 | 7PM | ESPN+
- Semifinals: Thursday, April 16 | 3:30PM + 8PM | ESPN2
- Championship: Sunday, April 18 | 3PM | ABC
The top two teams from each first round session will advance to the regional final then the top two teams from each regional final will move on to Fort Worth for the national semifinals. Individual gymnasts can advance to the championships by being the top all-around gymnast not on a qualifying team or by being the top in an individual event.

Alabama gymnastics
Alabama has competed in the regional round of each NCAA Championships since its inception in 1982. The program has six total national championships, most recently winning back-to-back titles in 2011-12.
The Tide currently sits fifth in the national rankings with an average score this season of 197.504. The team is officially the second seed in the Corvallis Regional behind No. 4 UCLA.
Alabama’s session includes:
- Utah
- Denver
- Oregon State
The Crimson Tide will have to finish in the top two of their session to reach the regional final.
The Corvallis Regional features four teams ranked in the top 13—UCLA, Alabama, Utah, Minnesota. Those four teams are also among the nine teams who have reached the 197.8-mark at least once this season.
Those four programs have also combined for 22 national championships.
Auburn gymnastics
Auburn, which sits at No. 17 in the all-around NQS standings, is the highest ranked team to not receive a national seed but the Tigers will have a shorter road trip than their in-state rivals.
LSU will be the favorites to advance past the first session which will include No. 15 Clemson, Auburn and the winner of the play-in meet between Air Force and Nebraska.
If Auburn makes it through to the regional final, they would have to finish in the top two again with No. 7 Stanford and No. 10 Michigan as potential opponents.
