A new program focused on the forest industry will be joining the Wiregrass Innovation Center in Dothan.

The city announced a new partnership with startup accelerator company Gener8tor and Grow Southeast Alabama to help companies find + develop solutions specific to forestry in our state.

The Alabama Forestry Accelerator will select five startups for a seven-week program with the goal of elevating each company’s business model and connecting them to customers in the real world to implement their innovative solutions.

“We want Alabama, particularly southeast Alabama, to be a leader in shaping the future of the industry. This day is about leveraging Alabama’s natural assets, what we are already good at. Forestry is a thriving industry in our state.”
