Alabama moves up in AP Poll after comeback win over Florida State

Alabama had to survive a two-hour weather delay and a major upset bid from Florida State but the Crimson Tide left Bryant-Denny Stadium with an undefeated record still intact.
Keelon Russell had the best game of his young career, accounting for 376 yards and four touchdowns, to lead his team back from an early 15-point deficit.
The win keeps Alabama in the top 10 of the latest AP and Coaches Poll rankings as the Tide moved up two spots in both polls.

SEC continues to dominate college football rankings
Alabama is up to No. 8 in both polls, sitting as the fourth highest-ranked SEC team after three weeks of the season.
This is Alabama’s 299th consecutive appearance in the AP rankings, the longest active streak in college football. It’s the second longest streak of all time to Nebraska’s 348 straight polls which ended in 2002.
The Crimson Tide is one of 11 SEC teams ranked in either poll this week. There are nine SEC teams ranked in both sets of rankings including:
- Texas (1 in AP/1 in Coaches Poll)
- Georgia (2/2)
- Ole Miss (4/6)
- Alabama (8/8)
- LSU (10/11)
- Tennessee (14/13)
- Missouri (19/21)
- Florida (21/22)
- Texas A&M (23/20)
Mississippi State moved up to No. 24 in the AP Poll while Oklahoma remained No. 24 in the Coaches Poll.
