Alabama natives shine during CMA Awards 2025

Just two months ago, a trio of Alabama country music artists were celebrating just being nominated for an annual Country Music Association Award.
But last night, those nominations turns into the real deal as all three artists walked off the stage with the awards in their hands.
The 59th annual CMAs were held Wednesday night at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Here’s how the Alabama natives fared by the end of the night:
- Music Video of the Year: You Look Like You Love Me by Ella Langley and Riley Green
- Song of the Year: You Look Like You Love Me by Ella Langley and Riley Green
- Single of the Year: You Look Like You Love Me by Ella Langley and Riley Green
- Vocal Group of the Year: Red Clay Strays
Ella Langley + Riley Green

The duo from Alabama—Langley from Hope Hull and Green from Jacksonville—is turning into a must-listen event every time they team up.
The two were also nominated for Musical Event of the Year while Langley was nominated for Female Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year.
Langley now has four CMA Awards to her name with seven total nominations. Green shares those four wins with Langley and has been nominated five times overall.
Langley and Green performed separately on stage Wednesday night.
The Red Clay Strays
This was the first CMA Award for the Red Clay Strays, winning the award they were nominated for last year but fell just short.
The band from Mobile, which officially released its first single in 2019, has seen a surge in fame in recent years. The Vocal Group of the Year CMA is just the latest recognition from a different academy.
In the last two years, the Red Clay Strays were named the Emerging Artist of the Year by Americana Music Honors & Awards + the New Vocal Group of the Year by the Academy of Country Music Awards.
