The national spotlight is nothing new for the Alabama softball program but there’s still a little boost that comes from being recognized before a season even begins.
The Crimson Tide has reloaded its roster after making the Super Regional round for the 19th time in the last 20 seasons but eventually falling just short of the Women’s College World Series last season.
Alabama officially came in at No. 13 in the preseason rankings from Softball America. The Tide was one of 13 SEC teams to make the top 25.
