Alabama record store ranked among the best in the South

One of Birmingham’s favorite record stores just received a national shoutout from Southern Living.

In a recent article highlighting ten of the best record stores in the South, the popular lifestyle magazine chose Birmingham’s own Seasick Records as Alabama’s sole representative on the list.

Seasick Records is more than a record shop—it’s a community hub that hosts album release listening parties, in-store concerts for growing local acts and participates each year in Record Store Day, an international event designed to “celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store”.

It’s no wonder Seasick received a nod from Southern Living.
