Alabama sees surge in Big Lots store lease sales: Updated list of locations

More Alabama Big Lots store leases are up for sale.
15 Big Lots leases are up for sale across Alabama indicating those particular stores might close in the near future.
The number of stores up for sale in Alabama has almost doubled since January.
Additional 200 Big Lots lease sales nationwide in February
According to USA Today, the embattled national discount retail chain added more than 200 locations to its sale site. Most offers to purchase the leases were due February 17.
The seven Big Lots locations added this February to the master list of 15 locations include:
- Anniston: 3124 McClellan Blvd
- Fairhope: 150 Eastern Shore Shopping Center
- Fort Payne: 110 Dekalb Plaza Blvd.
- Homewood: 142 Green Springs Hwy.
- Huntsville: 3240 Memorial Pkwy NW
- Pelham: 3550 Pelham Pkwy
- Saraland: 8 Saraland Blvd S.
Below are the Big Lots store leases that were up for sale in January
- Andalusia: 130 Covington Mall
- Auburn: 716 Opelika Rd
- Dothan:2821 Montgomery Highway
- Florence: 340 Seville St
- Foley: 3161 South McKenzie St,
- Hoover: 1773 Montgomery Hwy
- Montgomery: 5484 Atlanta Hwy
- Rainbow City: 3225 Rainbow Dr Ste 200D
Only seven stores statewide in Athens, Jasper, Guntersville, Cullman, Decatur, Northport and Mobile have yet to be placed on the list.
In addition to the lease sales, Big Lots also announced in January the closure of its distribution center in Montgomery.
