Alabama State offering online programs on cannabis studies

While medical marijuana is not officially up and running in Alabama, some steps have been taken in recent years to build legal business across the state.

Now that it’s growing across the country, Alabama State University is looking to help those wanted to get started in the industry. The university is offering five different online programs to learn more about medical cannabis.

Earn a certificate in 24 weeks

Alabama State is offering programs where people can earn a certificate to help further their careers in the cannabis industry. Students can learn everything from cultivation techniques to distribution.

The five programs are:

  • Healthcare + medicine
  • Agriculture + horniculture
  • Business
  • Compliance + risk management
  • Product development + design

Each area is studied through a six-month, fully online course for $2,700.
