All 20 companies are emerging technology businesses, furthering Innovate Alabama’s mission to support entrepreneurs through strategic funding and foster a thriving innovation ecosystem statewide.

Innovate Alabama

Innovate Alabama is a statewide public-private partnership focused on entrepreneurship, technology and innovation. It aims to empower local companies to scale cutting-edge technologies, create jobs and deepen their roots in Alabama.

Through a Supplemental Grant Program, Innovate Alabama provides funds to companies that have previously received SBIR or STTR grants. This year’s grants take the company’s total past $17 million since its inception, helping out 82 small businesses.

“By providing follow-on capital through our Supplemental Grant Program, we’re equipping Alabama’s most promising startups with the resources needed to take their innovations to market. These investments are driving job creation, attracting additional external capital into Alabama, advancing research and technology, and securing Alabama’s place as a competitive hub for innovation.”
