Alabama’s Tyler Booker, Jihaad Campbell selected in first round of 2025 NFL Draft

For the 17th consecutive season, Alabama had at least one player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.
The first Tide player off the board in the 2025 draft was offensive guard Tyler Booker. He was drafted 12th overall by the Dallas Cowboys, becoming the fourth offensive lineman selected Thursday night.
Jihaad Campbell had to wait a little bit longer, being selected with the penultimate pick of opening night at the draft.
Booker and Campbell are the 83rd + 84th first round picks in program history.
Tyler Booker
Booker spent three seasons with the Crimson Tide, starting 26 games. He was a permanent team captain for the 2024 team under coach Kalen DeBoer.
During the last 2 seasons for the Crimson Tide, he started 25 games, and was named first-team All-SEC. He was also named a first-team All-American last season.
“With the retirement of Zack Martin, the Cowboys are immediately trying to replace the future Hall of Famer with one of the safest players in the draft. Booker wasn’t ranked in the top 20 on my board, but the Cowboys’ history of drafting offensive linemen in Round 1 is brilliant.”

Jihaad Campbell

Campbell joins former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts and the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. He is the fourth Tide player to be drafted by the Eagles in the last five years.
In three seasons with Alabama, Campbell recorded 184 total tackles including 18 tackles for a loss + a pair of interceptions and a defensive touchdown.
“They’ve done it again. The Eagles lead the league in being patient and letting good players who are great defensive fits fall down the board. With a slight trade up from No. 32, Philadelphia gets a speedy linebacker who would excel in a role very similar to the one linebacker Zack Baun played in 2024. Campbell can play stack ‘backer, rush off the edge or operate as a spy in the run game.”
