Southeast Alabama woke up Sunday morning to a winter wonderland.

According to U.S. National Weather Service reports from the Birmingham and Tallahassee Offices, snow started to fall from Phenix City to Dothan early in the morning between 4:00 to 5:00AM.

About 1-2 inches have fallen in the region. This year’s pre-MLK Day snowfall comes two days before the historic January 20-21, 2025 snow storm that hit the region, acculmulating nearly 5-6 inches.

Below are photos from The Bama Buzz’s own Callie Morrison from Newton, Alabama, a town 15 miles north of Dothan and several social media posts.
