An ace of a club: The Torino Club opens to Opelika public
Reading time: 3 minutes

A piece of old-world Italy has been borrowed for the likes of Historic Downtown Opelika — in the shape of a wine + cocktail lounge. Piedmont on Piedmont, which opened just last year, combines its appreciation for Piemonte, Italy, with southern charm through family-style dinner dishes + rare wines.
Tucked away on the second floor of Piedmont on Piedmont is The Torino Club, a cozy cocktail lounge + wine bar. The club, originally reserved for private events, opened to the public in August.
Here’s a quick rundown:
- Location: 1007 Ave B building A, Opelika, AL 36801
- Hours: Thurs. through Sat., 6PM—11PM

An intimate atmosphere

Once guests reach the top of Piedmont on Piedmont’s stairwell, they’re greeted by low lighting, the sound of jazz + lively conversation. Whether one is interested in pre-dinner drinks, or is in want of a sophisticated evening out, The Torino Club welcomes all to experience a night of warm, southern charm mixed with the taste of carefully crafted drinks.
The lounge features:
- Cozy indoor + outdoor seating
- Warm lighting
- Beautiful art
- A record-player
- Chess boards
- Coffee table books for perusing
Another notable element of the lounge’s interior are its long windows overlooking Downtown Opelika. At sunset, it’s a perfect place to watch the city wind down as you sip your wine.

While The Torino Club is now open to the public, it is still available to book for private gatherings, celebrations + special events. To inquire about booking, please email shanika@marshhospitality.com.
