Last season, Auburn rose to as high as No. 6 in the rankings and earned the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. It was their highest seed in program history and led to the program hosting a super regional for the first time ever.
The Tigers finished the season with a 41-20 record, losing to Coastal Carolina in the super regional round and finishing at No. 11 in the final rankings.
After winning a school record fourth regional, coach Butch Thompson is back for his 11th season on The Plains.
Auburn brings in the No. 10 recruiting class which includes two top 100 recruits, according to Perfect Game. The Tigers also had the No. 7 recruiting class in the early signing period for the Class of 2026.
The class, which was also rated by Baseball America as the No. 11 class in the country, is Thompson’s seventh top-15 class since taking over the helm of the program 10 years ago, including his third straight top-10 class.
