Auburn University has officially broken ground on its expansive renovation project at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The $323 million project will add to the inside and outside of the north end of the stadium. The Board of Trustees approved the project in April.
Here’s a quick rundown:
- $305M multipurpose events center: A 7-story, 300,00 sq. ft. facility with a ballroom, gameday suites and more
- $18M North Plaza: Located along Heisman Drive, this would provide operational support space for the events center
“Through this project, the north exterior of Jordan-Hare Stadium takes on the familiar character of Auburn’s campus—rooted in respect for place and aligned with its architectural language. The transformation reinforces continuity, identity, and a deeper sense of belonging.”

Changes coming to Jordan-Hare Stadium

The project is hoping to recenter student life along the Thach concourse while enhancing the gameday experience. The funds will go toward:
- 5 new entry gates
- 66 new concession points of sale
- 13 elevators
- 270 restroom fixtures
- New premium seating options
- Stadium support facilities
- Event spaces
- Retail venues
- Student activity spaces
- Meeting rooms
- Ballroom
The North Plaza will bring additional renovated space with extended hardscape + landscape between the stadium and Petrie Hall.
“Designed for everyday use, these spaces create a true campus destination within Jordan-Hare, offering places for students to gather, study, and connect in an environment that supports engagement beyond gameday.”

Jordan-Hare Stadium project timeline
Preliminary work on the project started earlier this year with the groundbreaking event staying on schedule.
Here’s the rest of the projected timeline for the renovation:
- Fall 2028: Completion of levels 0-3
- Spring 2029: Completion of levels 4-6
- Fall 2029: First home game after project completion
“The Jordan-Hare North Project will be an elite space that serves the entire Auburn community 365 days a year. Jordan- Hare is the best game day environment in the country, and this project is going to take that experience to a completely different level. It’s a great time to be an Auburn Tiger.”
