Banana Ball returning to Alabama for four games in 2026
Reading time: 3 minutes

The Savannah Bananas announced a 45-state tour for 2026, which includes two separate stops in Alabama.
But it won’t be the Bananas who take the field in our state as two new teams are being introduced to the Banana Ball league for the first time. Here’s what dates you need to circle on your calendar:
- March 21-22: Firefighters vs. Indianapolis Clowns at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery
- Sept. 19-20: Loco Beach Coconuts vs. Indianapolis Clowns at Rickwood Field in Birmingham
“When you have so much demand and excitement, we want to be able to go to the biggest stadiums, but also to the smallest stadium. We want to play everywhere. We want to take this where anyone in this country can drive to a game within four to five, six hours max.”

Indianapolis Clowns + Loco Beach Coconuts
While the Bananas may not be coming to Alabama, the entertainment + Banana Ball atmosphere will still be on hand.
The Indianapolis Clowns + the Loco Beach Coconuts have been added to the inaugural season of the Banana Ball Championship League. It features six teams playing games in 75 different stadiums across the country.
The Clowns were originally a barnstorming baseball team in the mid-20th century that traveled the country playing in many different ball parks for over 50 years, much like the Savannah Bananas do now. Hank Aaron’s first professional contract was with the Indianapolis Clowns.
Banana Ball is now partnering with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to preserve the history of the Clowns team.
“The rebirth of the Indianapolis Clowns is an exciting and historically relevant tribute to the team that was at the forefront of combining baseball and entertainment. Our partnership is a tremendous opportunity, to not only entertain, but educate fans about the rich history of the Negro Leagues while paying homage to the team that helped influence Banana Ball.”
Bob Kendrick, President of Negro Leagues Baseball Museum
