Baumhower’s Victory Grille breaks ground on 10th Alabama location in Troy

Baumhower’s Victory Grille (BVG) held a groundbreaking earlier this month at its newest location in Troy, Alabama.

Baumhower’s, the state’s first restaurant to offer buffalo-style chicken wings, is celebrating 40 years in business. The BVG  in Troy will be the 10th in Alabama. Additional locations can be found in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Vestavia Hills, Huntsville, Montgomery, Mobile, Daphne and Auburn. 

“Baumhower’s Victory Grille was founded on the principles of providing each and every guest with the highest quality made from scratch food, excellent, unrivaled service, and an overall enjoyable experience” said Bob Baumhower, BVG’s CEO who was an All-American at the University of Alabama in the 1970s and All-Pro with the Miami Dolphins the following decade.

“With more than 60 strategically positioned TV’s, guests can expect an incredible game day experience when cheering on their favorite team(s). We invite Troy and the surrounding communities to come and experience BVG’s legendary food and hospitality for themselves when the restaurant opens in spring 2023.

The Details

Construction on the new popular restaurant has begun at 106 Trojan Parkway, Troy adjacent to Publix.

Some of the new amenities at the Troy location, according to BVG include:

  • Roll-up garage doors on an outdoor covered patio
  • Streamlined kitchen for faster service
  • Enhanced brand identity and optimized infrastructure

On hand for the Troy groundbreaking were Bob Baumhower, founder and CEO of Aloha Hospitality, the parent company of BVG; Spencer Baumhower, President of Aloha Hospitality; Jason A. Reeves, Mayor of Troy; HM Nowlin, President of Nowlin Development Co., LLC; representatives from the Pike County Economic Development Corporation; and other local Troy dignitaries. 

The restaurant plans to open in spring 2023.
