Apparel manufacturer BELLA+CANVAS brings 557 jobs to Wetumpka

According to Made in Alabama, Governor Kay Ivey announced that BELLA+CANVAS, an upcoming apparel manufacturer that focuses on being “Made in the USA,” is bringing new jobs and investing $11.9M in Alabama. Read more to learn all the details about the new facility.

BELLA+CANVAS plans to open a high-tech fabric-cutting facility that’ll create over 550 new jobs in Wetumpka, AL. This manufacturing company will establish itself in a portion of an 890,000 square-foot building in what used to house Russel Brands.

This company believes that Wetumpka will enhance their manufacturing footprint because of Alabama’s technologically advanced operations levels.

Not only will the company’s growth project spark the creation of a significant number of jobs, but it also underscores how Alabama is ready and eager to play a role in America’s manufacturing renaissance.”

New Jobs In Wetumpka

The Wetumpka facility will model the operations of their Los Angeles, California location. You can expect them to develop innovative new fabrics with a focus on sustainability. This is done through the use of what BELLA+CANVAS calls the most advanced proprietary software and specialized cutting tables.

  • Administrative staff
  • Forklift operators
  • General cutting laborers
  • Shipping and receiving clerks
  • Spreaders
