BHM airport announces new flights for Auburn, Alabama away games

Traveling to Alabama or Auburn football away games this fall?

American Airlines and Southwest Airlines have added several nonstop flights out of the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) for the upcoming 2025 season.

5 new away game nonstop flights

The new flights have been added for the day before several away games featuring the Tide or Tigers. Here is the lineup of newly added nonstop flights from BHM:

American Airlines

  • Auburn @ Baylor (Waco) — Aug. 28
  • Auburn @ Oklahoma (Oklahoma City) — Sept. 19
  • Auburn @ Texas A&M (College Station) — Sept. 26
  • Alabama @ Florida State (Tallahassee) — Aug. 29
  • Alabama @ Missouri (Columbia) — Oct. 10

Southwest Airlines

  • Auburn @ Baylor (additional flight to Dallas Love Field) — Aug. 28

Additional flights for home games

In addition to the nonstop away games flights, airlines have added flights to the Magic City for games against the Crimson Tide.

They include: 

  • United Airlines adding three flights to Birmingham for Alabama home games against Wisconsin, Tennessee and LSU
  • Delta Air Lines offering flights to Birmingham for Alabama matchups against Wisconsin, Tennessee and Oklahoma
