Bryant-Denny Stadium unveils new seating chart format for 2026
Reading time: 2 minutes

After decades of using letters to distinguish the sections within Bryant-Denny Stadium, the University of Alabama will be using a new format starting in 2026.
Fans will have to get used to a new way of identifying their sections as the lower and upper bowls will take on a number instead of a letter.
The lower bowl will now include sections 101-142 while the upper bowl will be sections 801-859. Entry gates will also be renumbered.
“To improve ease of navigation in and around the stadium for fans, gameday staff, and emergency personnel, gate numbers will be simplified and section names will be standardized ahead of the 2026 season.”

Other changes in 2026
The university has announced several changes that you’ll need to know before your next gameday experience. On top of the new section numbers, these changes include:
- Gate Numbers: Stadium gates will be renumbered from east to west. There will also be a reduction in overall gates as single points of entry will be consolidated to reduce complexity.
- Premium Seating Section Names: Some premium seating sections will be reordered and/or updated with a cardinal designation.
- Skyboxes: Skyboxes will be renamed to include a cardinal designation and three-digit number corresponding to the floor level.
Row numbers and seat numbers will remain the same at the stadium.
The university has an online tool where you can find your new section + gate while entering the letters from your previous section title. Or you can find the full list here.
