Celebrate your dog with Krispy Kreme Doggie Doughnuts, Aug. 26

All smiles for Doggie Doughnuts. (Krispy Kreme)

Get ready for some puppy lovin’—Friday. August 26 is National Dog Day and Krispy Kreme is releasing limited-time baked treats for dogs. Available at participating shops while supplies last, read on for more details including where you can find these treats in Alabama.

What are Doggie Doughnuts?

While they may look like doughnuts, Krispy Kreme’s Doggie Doughnuts are actually hard, baked cookies specifically designed for dogs. No matter your pooch’s size, age or breed, one taste and you can expect lots of tail wags.

What are they made with?

Love, of course, but let’s talk ingredients.

The dog treats are made by Australia-based Huds and Toke Pty Ltd, a company-owned, fully HACCP (Food Safe) Accredited facility. Some ingredients include whole wheat flour, peanut butter, canola oil, apple cider vinegar (Acetice Acid), non-fat dry milk and sprinkles. For the full list of ingredients, hop over here.

Peanut warning: Doggie Doughnuts contain peanuts. While your pup may be thrilled, if you or someone in your family has a peanut allergy, err on the side of caution.

And, don’t forget—doggie doughnuts are meant to be a treat, not a complete and balanced meal.
