Coming 2028: Auburn luxury student housing community breaks ground

The Mark Auburn, a luxury student housing community that will serve students of Auburn University and the surrounding area, has officially started construction on Wright Street.
Projected to be complete by the 2028 academic year, the upcoming community developed by Landmark Properties will be able to accommodate 825 students. Upon completion of the 3.29-acre site, The Mark Auburn will have:
- 31,000 square feet of amenities, like a clubhouse, rooftop pool, jumbotron, grilling areas, fire pits, fitness center, sports simulator, study lounge with a café + computer labs
- 329 units available as studio through five-bedroom floor plans
- Parking for 853 vehicles
All units at The Mark Auburn will come fully furnished and wired for cable and high-speed internet. Residents will have quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances, hardwood-style laminate floors, in-unit laundry and large closets.
Landmark Properties operates many student housing communities throughout the U.S., including locations of The Mark serving the campuses of:
- University of Georgia
- Atlanta colleges: Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, Emory University and SCAD Atlanta
- University of South Florida
- University of Tennessee, Knoxville
- University of Texas at Austin
- University of California, Los Angeles

- Colorado State University

Landmark purchased the future site of The Mark Auburn in December 2025. Earlier this month, Bailey-Harris Construction was issued a $16 million building permit for the project.
Landmark Properties presented a $10,000 donation to The Hudson Family Foundation at the Wednesday, April 15 groundbreaking. The foundation serves children and families across Alabama and Georgia facing life’s most difficult circumstances through financial grants, college scholarships and literacy programs.
