COMING SOON: Opelika Rage Room opening this summer
Good news, Opelika—you’re getting your own Rage Room coming mid-summer 2023. The Birmingham Rage Room is opening a sister location for the “first-ever Rage Room on the Plains.” Read on for all the details.
What is a rage room?
Wondering what a rage room consists of? Pretty much what you would think.
Birmingham Rage Room’s website explains it as “everything you were told not to break as a kid” available for you to break all in one place. Participants gear up and smash a room full of donated items with the tools provided.
Items available for breaking include:
- Cameras
- Computers
- File cabinets
- Furniture
- Glasses + bottles
- Printers
- Old toys + electronics,
- Speakers
- TVs
- VHS tapes + CDs/DVDs
As Birmingham Rage Room puts it, “everything that can be smashed, is.”
Get ready to rage, Opelika
The Opelika location will have a soft opening later this month. Plans for a grand opening in July are already in the works.
- Location: 1510 2nd Avenue Opelika, Ala., outside of downtown Opelika
Owner Alex Miller gave us his thoughts on why he and his team decided to open their second location in Opelika.
“You have a large location of 100,000+ and surrounding rural counties that typically drive to Opelika or Auburn for entertainment. One thing we really like about Opelika is that you’re seeing a lot of entertainment for adults, families and college students. A lot of growth is happening and we think that this location will be a great one to build our next location.”
Alex Miller, Owner, Birmingham + Opelika Rage Room
Miller continued to express interest in growing their Rage Room corporation. Any other Alabama cities you want to see a rage room in?
“People are craving new and fun things to do. We’re gonna see how we do with two locations and then go from there.”
Alex Miller, Owner, Birmingham + Opelika Rage Room
We’re confident that this is only the beginning of a very fun and successful business for Miller and his Rage Room team. Stay up-to-date on their journey on Facebook + Instagram.
