Courteney Cox channels Monica from Friends with Alabama Roll—Watch
Could this be any more exciting? Courteney Cox is giving a nod to her Alabama roots (and Chef Monica days from Friends) with one of her favorite snacks—the Alabama roll.
An Alabama what?
First, why does Courteney Cox have a Bama-based recipe? Because she’s a native of Mountain Brook, Alabama.
While I’ve lived in Bama nearly my entire life, I’m a little bummed I never knew about the Alabama Roll. If you’re in the dark like I was, here’s the recipe:
- Boar’s Head maple honey turkey
- Havarti cheese slices
- Avocado
- Best Food’s light mayonnaise
- French’s yellow mustard
- Fritos
Roll it all together with the cheese on the outside and ta-da, you have the Alabama Roll—a semi-sweet and creamy roll up with a crunch.
Ross may have tried to convince us that unagi was a state of calm, but we wonder what he would have thought about this Alabama roll. Either way, please excuse me while I place my Shipt order and hurry to create my own.
Friends Fan?
I’m a Friends fan for life. So much so that I’d happily accept a dare to recite the whole 10 seasons word for word. (And proud of it!) If you’re a fan of the show, be sure to check out the comments section on the video post for some serious laughter.
Psst! This isn’t the only foodie video you can find from Courteney Cox. She posts short cooking videos almost daily on her Instagram page. I’ll be tuning in from now on in hopes of learning more Alabama recipes. Will you?
