Reading time: 3 minutes
Alabama’s Gulf Coast is in for a treat. The popular food truck concept Cousins Maine Lobster is opening a new territory from Pensacola to Mobile.
The grand opening is on February 11, 11AM to 7PM at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola, Florida. After the big opening, the food truck will be available daily all around the Gulf Coast. Visit their Facebook page at Cousins Maine Lobster (Pensacola FL. to Mobile AL.) to learn how to bring this one of a kind food truck to your community.
Noble Family
Gary and Lisa Noble will be in charge of the Cousins Maine Lobster franchise in the Gulf Coast area.
“We have always spent a lot of time on the Alabama coast and the Florida Panhandle and truly love this area and the people we’ve met over the years. We were thrilled that this territory was available. The community has been so warm and welcoming. We can’t wait to get out and meet everyone.”
Cousins Maine Lobster was founded in 2012 by real-life cousins and Mainers, Jim Tselikis and Sabin Lomac. The company had a shared vision: to extend the highest-quality Maine lobster to the lobster-starved masses by making it affordable and accessible.
The company really took off when the cousins appeared on Shark Tank.
Jim & Sabin have partnered with Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran to franchise business with local entrepreneurs. Today, Cousins Maine Lobster is sold to over 40 cities nationwide, including the Birmingham metro area.
Finest Maine Lobster
In 2021, The Bama Buzz sister publication interviewed Chris Papp—the owner of the Birmingham franchise—about Cousins Maine Lobster.
This is how he described it.
“Expect a great experience from the customer service. You will get the finest Maine lobster in the world. We serve it a couple of different ways—we have our Connecticut roll which is warm lobster served with a lemon butter on top or the Maine roll, which is traditional, served cold with a little mayonnaise served on a toasted split top bun from New England. Everything comes from Maine. So the lobster comes from Maine. The rolls come from Maine. We also serve traditional whoopie pies.”
Besides the lobster rolls, other items include:
- Lobster Grilled Cheese
- Lobster Tots
- Lobster Tacos
- Lobster Bisque
- AND MORE
Sustainable Lobster
One other bonus: The lobster is wild-caught, sustainably harvested, 100% premium lobster from Maine. Cousins Maine Lobster ain’t the kind you pass by in a tank at your local grocery store; it’s sourced from a partner wharf. Not to mention, it’s caught by hometown Lobstermen. So rest assured, you know where your lobster has been.
