WildWater in Cullman has opened a late-summer addition to the park.

The north Alabama water park recently completed an expansion to add a 1,000-foot lazy river which officially opened this week. The “Paradise Lazy River” has two stepped entries along with a connecting zero-entry pool + vertical water spraying elements.

Paradise Lazy River marks largest expansion in park’s history

The park held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 4, celebrating the largest single expansion project in WildWater Cullman’s four-year history.

The 1,000-foot lazy river is among the largest in the Southeast. The project adds:

400,000 gallons of water
17,725 square feet of attractions
300 inner tubes
400 lounge chairs
30 tables
15 cabanas
15 giant umbrellas

The lazy river also helps increase the park’s capacity for guests. Paradise Lazy River can accommodate 600 guests in the water plus an additional 400 along the deck at the same time.

The expansion also introduces The Sandbar, a new bar and grill located along the river, and new restroom facilities.
