The Destination Glamping Resort
It may be one of the lesser known resorts in our state but it seems anyone who has ever stayed at The Destination raves about their experience.
The resort has four different “glamps”—two 2-bedroom cabins and two 1-bedroom cabins. It’s located in the woods on Sandy Creek, just east of Lake Martin.
“When (founders) Skip and Rhonda planned their dream travel experience in Alabama, their goal was to keep the “glamorous” in glamping. Their four eclectic safari tents on raised wood platforms are fully furnished and air-conditioned, and they include refrigerators, microwaves, bathrooms, hot tubs, outdoor grills, and ample deck space. Nearby Lake Martin offers excellent fishing and water recreation, and city attractions aren’t far away — they just seem like it.”
